Is it really that hard to post this kind of stuff in the games/random thread?

Heck, I bet you can even get more people interested that way.

Random thread? How is that appropriate? And the games thread I feel is more for full "boxed" games and not web-browser games.

In any case, if you're not interested.. move along..

I find myself inclined to agree. There's already a thread specifically for games. You don't need to make a whole new one for every single thing that catches your attention for more than 5 seconds.

I'm in, too. First game spawned me right next to 150 zombie trolls. That can't be good.
Let's just fix a time, first player joins a random, empty, free game and posts the invite here. I suggest we wait until after New Years, though.

Why wait after new year? I e-mailed Jay, and he said that the prices are not locked in yet, so things might get cheaper also, the ads don't dissappear this time when you buy it, not yet at least. So that's why I'm holding off buying a key for now, but yea, I think if we all meet at certain time here then it's very doable to get into the same game. I don't mind to wait after new year, but I would like to start earlier I think you only need 10 min a day max anyway.

Well, I'm already losing interest :) Two complaints: unlike in NP, you can only give your armies ONE move order, you can't chain moves. And certain actions can only be performed once every three hours (trading and bribing free armies). No way this can be played properly by just logging in once a day.

That sounds like it would be really bad for playing across timezones

Well, the fact you can chain movements in NP doesn't mean it's wise to do in a competitive game unless you're reinforcing, in which case it's also possible here, cause reinforcements go straight to there specified unit.

And bribery is only a bit useful (if at all) in the beginning, trading you won't do more then once a day I imagine, certainly not late-game.

I must say, I have my doubts as well, it feels less "smooth" then NP, but that's probably cause I don't really get all of it yet.
On the other side, it does seem a lot more promising then NP in what it has to offer.

All-in-all, I think the slow movements (around a day to move from city to city) and tax times (once a day) and building times (18h) makes it very doable to just log-in once a day.
