I survived again. Fun to play, only a bit short.
You're so vain, you probably think this sig is about you

Maybe. I like it as a player, though. But don't take this game as an example, the humans had a lot of luck/good choices. I'll try to run the same setup again another time, to see if it is indeed too powerful.

Notes:
Pre-start:
11 players would be better, since it would make the wolves need another lynch to win.

I had been thinking of using the "majority to lynch ends the day" method, but thought I was changing enough things from the usual game already.

Traitor was put in to avoid the "human network" effect that usually happens.
Random setup and Roleblocker were put in to avoid "follow the power role".
PMs in plain sight were to avoid confirmation by posting PM.
The longer days were needed to allow people to post more, and read more from each player, and for the Traitor role to work better.

Role distribution:
The only thing that wasn't random, was bert as traitor, I switched bert and ynbniar. Bert had asked me to put him in as traitor instead of wolf, if he got on the wolf team.
I sent zjoere a Seer pm by mistake, but fortunately he didn't see it, and I changed it. If he had, I would have had to give RabidZombie his villager pm.
It would then be amusing to see everyone lynch day 1, as almost happened. :p

I thought of this only after roles had been sent: The win condition could be harder for the wolves: make wolves only win when they're equal in number to the humans. This would require a traitor to come out and ask the wolves to win. Not sure if it would make much difference.

Day 1:
ynbniar asks to kill bert in the night in advance.
It was unfortunate that the RNG chose ynbniar. It put team wolf at a big disadvantage.

Night 1:
RabidZombie almost didn't send the seer PM in time. I was just checking the nightkill scene for errors before posting when I got the pm.
I found it amusing that they all chose bert. Pox probably should have listened to my advice in the last game, don't kill bert night 1 if you're a wolf. :p

Day 2:
Vicious played the most suspicious villager I've seen, it was no wonder he was lynched.
What did you mean by the "this can only mean one thing!" comment?
I was asked if the GA knew when he was roleblocked. I couldn't answer it then, but the answer is no. If Marvin had gotten roleblocked, he wouldn't know. The roleblocker also didn't know when his blocks had no effect.

Night 2:
Very well done for Marvin for saving two nights in a row, how did you predict who Pox would kill this night?

Day 3:
At first I didn't see any way to win this day. Even if RZ was lynched, Pox would die the next day. But there was a slim chance: If the lynch was steered towards a third candidate somehow, Pox could kill someone else that night and try to convince people next day that there was no seer in the setup.
Since the wolves had gotten such bad luck, I planned to give them one reroll in case of a 3 way tie. It never came to that.
It was amusing to see Ace's speculation, which was completely right. No one could be sure of there being a seer.
Oh and RZ, the best move for the villagers day 3 would actually be to lynch you and confirm you and your result. There would be no disadvantage from your lynch, only advantages. Okay, you would win day 4 instead of day 3, but it was the theoretical best move for the villagers. I would have asked for a lynch on yourself if I was in your position.

I think Marvin played especially well, saving both nights, and RZ's choice night 2 really nailed the game.

I was sorry that the game was so short, since I think it was an interesting setup. I'll probably repeat it at some point. Feel free to use it yourselves.
I also had a lot of fun writing the scenes, hope you liked them.

I have some interesting ideas for the next one I host. :p

P.S. - Oh, and the werewolf illustrations in strange positions came from bert's "werewolf porn" comment.

Sorry for the double post, but I wanted to mention this separately:
When I planned the game, I wrote scenes for the results of the night actions. I only realized later that I couldn't use them, since they would give roles a way to confirm themselves. After consulting with NeoThermic, I decided not to use them.
Here they are:

Seer results:
You light your incense burner, gather your crystal ball, and focus your mind on X during the night. You sense (a feral mind filled with insatiable bloodlust! | a normal panicked mind.)

(X is evil! | X is good.)

(roleblocked)
You try to focus on X, but you can't get a clear read. You sense something looking for you. Something evil. You can feel its presence, it's here in the room with you!
You open your eyes, and see yourself in a forest, and you can hear them coming closer, their howls sounding ever louder. You run frantically, but they're faster than you. You don't feel pain from the first bite, but the second is agonizing. You force your eyes shut to make the gruesome scene go away, and it all seems to disappear.

You find yourself curled in a fetal position with your crystal ball, covered in cold sweat, illuminated by the morning sun.
You thank your gods you're still alive, but feel you've failed your duty. You didn't sense anyone tonight.

Guardian Angel results:
You gather your holy books and sigils near your bed, and pray to your god. You ask him fervorously that nothing bad happens to X tonight.

(roleblocked)
You can't concentrate on your prayers tonight. You feel as if your god has left you all alone to die. You suddenly see yourself in a forest, and you can hear them coming closer, their howls sounding ever louder. You run frantically, but they're faster than you. You don't feel pain from the first bite, but the second is agonizing. You force your eyes shut to make the gruesome scene go away, and it all seems to disappear.

You find yourself curled in a fetal position with your holy book, covered in cold sweat, ilumminated by the morning sun.
You thank your god you're still alive, but feel you've failed him. You didn't bestow his protection on X tonight. You hope he made it through the night.

Roleblocker results:
You focus on X, and think of the time you chased and killed that deer. You sense X's terror as he is rent limb from limb, and he feels how delicious he tasted.

Wolf results:
The pack decides to eat X tonight.

(No protection)
You gather near his house in the middle of the night and sneak inside. You get to his bedroom and change into your feral forms, saliva dripping from your canines in anticipation of the meal to come. You grab him, and before he's even awake and had time to scream, rip his throat out.

The blood paints the sheets red, while you fight for the best pieces.

(Protected)
On your way to X's house, you see X looking at you near the trees at the edge of the village.

You chase after him into the forest. You give chase for most of the night. You keep getting closer, but never close enough. When you finally lose his track, you feel the sunshine warm your fur. It seems you wasted this night for nothing.
Feeling frustrated and still hungry, you change into your human forms, and drag yourselves back to the village.

I don't think revealing the roles gives too much power to the humans. With a Seer possibly in there, you always have to consider the possibility that the lynch victim's role is known to the humans anyway. And if the result is published, you can even use it to your advantage. Sacrificing one of you to clean another wolf's image, for example (and while you're at it, have one wolf declare 'oh well, you got me, I'm a wolf, traitor contact me please'). Or having everyone who appeared to be defending a lynched wolf lynched; RZ, me and possibly xander in our case here.

It would lead to an interesting reversal on the last day when it is known wolves + traitor have a majority, where everyone would suddenly say he's a wolf (if only one is left) or the traitor (otherwise). Not much of a change, but a fun one :)

Yeah, I knew you'd do that even before I made that comment

I definitely got lucky on night two - protecting Ace was bert's recommendation, with him being a common target too (in fact, last game when I was the Seer, bert was my first target and Ace my second :P). Having called bert out in the day about the possibility of the wolves having not killed on purpose, I realised that he would probably have guessed I might be the GA, so I got revealed myself to him anyway hoping he wasn't the traitor.

And yeah, Ace's speculation about nobody knowing for sure if there was a Seer was interesting, I discussed the same thing in private with bert. There was certainly a lot of metagaming to be done - I realised that the wolves must have known whether there was a Seer or not, because they knew whether or not one of them was a Roleblocker, meaning they knew which of the two setups with a GA in it had been chosen.

Maybe sacrificing myself would have been a better idea, but I selfishly wanted to survive. :P

Plus, there was role reveal, so if I did die, I'd be confident Pox would be on the way out.
