Ok, no last minute signups. I'm going to roll the setup now.

For ten players, I'm choosing X=1 and Y=5.

That means the four possible setups are going to be:
* 1 Werewolves, 1 Werewolf Roleblocker, 1 Traitor, 1 Seer, 1 Guardian Angel, 5 Villagers
* 1 Werewolves, 1 Werewolf Roleblocker, 1 Traitor, 7 Villagers
* 2 Werewolves, 1 Traitor, 1 Seer, 6 Villagers
* 2 Werewolves, 1 Traitor, 1 Guardian Angel, 6 Villagers

I'll update the first post with these numbers later.

Edit: Roles have been sent. All randomization courtesy of random.org.

Two clarifications to questions I've been asked:
-The Seer will only get "wolf" or "not wolf" results. If there's a check on another special(Roleblocker or GA), the result will only include alignment. It won't include whether the person has a special power or not.

-Night actions will be processed at the end of the night, or as close as I can. The order will be this: The Roleblocker blocks, the GA protects, the Werewolves kill, and the Seer senses. This means that the GA will only protect if not blocked, the Wolves will only kill if the target isn't protected, and that the Seer will only get results if alive and not blocked.
This order is the same for all the possible setups, just remove the roles that aren't in them.

I'll add this to the first post.

Only two people left to confirm, so I'll start the game at 16h GMT+1.

Day 1

Postby Phelanpt » Mon Jun 01, 2009 4:47 pm

The village of Introvershire is a great place to live. It's far away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities, has good weather, green fields, florests and fields of orchards all around. There's a river nearby for fishing, so there's no want for food. The villagers are a friendly and peaceful bunch.

You know each other well, though not always by name: The town woodsman has been called Hacker ever since he picked up an axe. The Darwin brothers in the green overalls and the multicolored suit are called Flatties for their unusual thinness, and that guy by the silos is Joshua. No one knows why you started calling him that.

There's only one you don't know that well, the stranger that came from another village. He's always very quiet, and not very friendly. Sometimes, after a few drinks, he starts mumbling about werewolves and how fearsome they are. Everyone is a bit disturbed around him, but they try to accommodate. He doesn't seem to be any trouble, though, and keeps to himself, so he's left alone.
Hopefully he will calm down and warm up to everyone eventually.

He is getting on everyone's nerves tonight, though.

He's drunk more than his share, and keeps insisting the howls outside are werewolves, and that you're all going to die.
You try to calm him down. After all, it's just a pack of wolves, it's not the first time they've been around. And they never even come near the village, for fear of humans.

He eventually collapses from too much drink. You take him to his room at the inn, laughing all the way, and plop him on the bed. He really can't take alcohol well. The hangover will teach him.

His words leave everyone uneasy, though, so you all decide to have an early night. There's lots of work to do tomorrow, anyway.
You don't sleep that well, since the howls go on throughout the night.

When you wake, you find the village very silent. You have breakfast, and go towards the village square. You've already been thinking of a few jokes about the stranger to tell everyone.
It seems he isn't up yet. You all laugh at the major hangover he's having.

You hear a scream coming from the inn, and rush there. You find the innkeeper crying in front of the stranger's room, breakfast and tray spilled throughout the floor.

That's not the only thing spilling through the floor, though. The room's floor is covered in blood...
A few of you go inside, and find the stranger, Phelanpt, ripped to shreds near the bed. Close to him is a revolver and an empty case of silver bullets. It didn't help him much.

He's clutching a piece of paper on his hand. When you pry it open, you read:

"Some of the villagers must be werewolves, we must lynch them!"

There seems to be a journal with an account of his life on another village. The werewolves infiltrated it and only he survived. His village surrendered to mob justice.

You all meet in the village square, and decide there is only one thing to do: you must lynch the one more likely to be a werewolf everyday, and try to get rid of them!

Phelanpt died Night 0, he was a Vigilante!

Day 1 will end 48 hours from this post ( June 3rd at 16h47 GMT+1).

/me enjoys the town florests.

In other news, we should probably have a funeral for Phelanpt and see if he had any more silver bullets stashed somewhere.
Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast...

Vote: zjoere while we wait for someone to do something really suspicious.

Speaking of that, I've been doing some thinking on the No Lynch option. It could be useful tomorrow or possibly the day after that, if we even make it that far. Think for yourselves, I don't want the wolves to get ideas. Or rather, I don't want them to not follow an idea they may be having. Or rather, I want them maximally confused.

Vote: RabidZombie

Something about the name "zombie" strikes me as guilty.
