24h nights are fine for coordination stuff, but 72 hour days are too long. Nobody will post the first 48 hours, and many regular humans will lose interest after a few days of nothing appearing to happen and get lynched off. 48/24 sounds more reasonable, but, as NeoThermic said, secret plans for the night can be made at day and PMs can be sent early, so 36/12 would also work just fine.

What do you mean, KingAl? That if n% of the players vote for someone, the day ends there? Or that n% of the players can vote to end the day before its due?
The day ends when n% of the players have voted. Or, if you like, the day ends 6 hours after n% of the players have voted. Or, even better, a day is a minimum of 12 hours long, then ends 6 hours after n% have voted (if you set it so that the day ends as soon as n% have voted, it would be pretty trivial for the wolves to get together and cast all of their votes at the same time, and end the day early when there are only a few people left---it also means that a sufficiently large block of any alignment can end the day early, without allowing others to vote---if the day lasts at least 18 hours, everyone should have a chance to weigh in).

This might be interesting for another setup, but in this one, I don't think it would work well.
First post changed to clarify the role distribution part: I will not say which of the possible setups was chosen.
I didn't make that clear before.
