That's beside the point really, I think Phelanpt is talking about the attitude, which may not be really 'offensive' but certainly isn't very welcoming either.

Although I find NeatNit to be an unlikable person in general -- and I think you concur with me on that point -- you seem, almost intentionally, to fail to notice the 'sarcasm cues' he is giving you (see the word "survive" which isn't appropriate in an 'offensive context' and the smiley). Not liking a person is one thing, but turning around everything that particular person says in his or her face is elite-group-sustaining at best, and plain cowardish at worst.

Try to use a little more tact in your next attempt at bickering please.

I'm pretty sure I got his sarcasm right - that does not take away the fact that I think he should stop making such senseless replies and hence I think turning this particular comment right around against him is a perfectly valid tactic. I'd like to see if you can find many other posts where I turned around his own words, since I sure can't remember many (none, in fact, but by that I mean explicit examples - I'm sure I did it some times). I'm not leading a crusade against NeatNit to the degree of what xander sometimes does or what I did against Cyan, so don't misinterpret my posts as flames or crucifixions.

Well thanks for you help . I now understand a good deal about some of the members of these forums (I'm thinking old men in pub talking just to avoid going home the the wife ).

So I'll now try to get back to the POINT of the thread....

Mark and Chris are giving a talk on Sunday 7th June at Videogame Nation @ Urbis exhibition hall in Manchester, UK

I'd just like to know what TIME they are speaking so I don't miss it. If you don't know that's OK.
But if you'd like to know what they said let me know and I'll try and provide some feedback, assuming I get there on time!
