Personally, I'm much more interested in games that aren't more of the same. The hottest releases for me right now are:

Subversion (although I expect 2010/11 would be a more realistic time frame :P) looks very interesting.
I'm certainly going to be giving Love a go. Hey, maybe it will break through the wall of my hatrid for MMORPGs.
Black Mesa isn't going to be different (hell, it's a remake) but it's free. I don't think I can name any other upcoming epics that are going to be free. That's certainly grabbed my attention.

DOW II: do want, but then again I am a fan of RTS and Warhammer 40k.
Starcraft II: do want.
Rage: Erm no.
Call of Duty: oh not another bloody one.
Aliens: Colonial Marine, erm another fps, but with Aliens. I'll give it a look.
Operation Flashpoint 2: Meh, I care not.
Wolfenstein: Another remake, still could be worth a look.
Diablo 3: Slavering fanboy mode a go go.
The Sims 3: I want EA to die.
Splinter Cell: Conviction: Meh.

Honourable Mentions
Empire: Total War Meh
Demigod Meh
F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin Meh
Borderlands Meh
Deus Ex 3 Want
Alpha Protocol Meh
Just Cause 2 Meh
Resident Evil 5 Hmmmm
Jagged Alliance 3 Meh
Overlord 2 Oooh want
Agency Meh.

Where's Ghostbusters? That game is wanted and eagerly awaited by a lot of us.

Although I agree, I still find them extremely optimistic in assuming the game is coming out in 2009.

Mind you, I will be surprised if Starcraft 2 does.

I'm waiting on Love to come out, that looks like it breaks away from the standard mmo grind mold for me to like it.
Of course, I really want subversion too ;)

I put an exclamation mark in your exclamation mark so you can exclaim while you exclaim!
