Is anyone else planning to attend?

My PhD supervisor mentioned it might be a good idea for me to go, so I'm seeing what I can sort out last minute.

I attended, and had a great time.

Apparently there has media coverage of the event (which I haven't seen myself).

I produced http://www.daveirvine.me/downfall/ with the aid of an artist and musician. We had originally come up with an entirely different concept involving particle physics, but it was beyond me in the timescale, so we chose something far simpler. As a warning, the game is very retro-themed, and includes a lot of rapidly flashing lights, which may or may not be a trigger for epilepsy. Please be careful.

I hope they repeat the event next year, I'll definitely go again!

I tried it, but I'm not sure I understood the concept. I tried to open the instructions menu, but it didn't open.

Is the idea to try and shoot most of the stuff to your opponent, and try to avoid a mutual defeat?

Yes, you have grasped the essential concept.

Instructions were, perhaps surprisingly, not something we had time to add during the 48hr coding period. I'll try and get around to adding them soon.

Thanks for giving it a go anyway :)

Edit:

I added instructions and credits, so those menu options should work now. Thanks for reminding me.
