Once I almost bought a flight helmet off of an Apache helicopter pilot friend of mine simply so I could wear it while playing flight sims. I don't find what your doing weird at all. :D

That's okay, I think your both nuts. Spend some time in a Pitts S2B or something similar, and simulations pale. :P

I don't fly planes, I jump out of them.

In other news, I just got 3 guest passes for Shattered Horizon. This allows play for 3 days.

Anyone interested? (I should note that the game should have single player vs bots by now)

Several friends and I managed to find a deal where we get to drive on the Nordschleife in a Lambo Gallardo, Ferrari F430, Porsche 911 GT3 RS and a top-spec Audi R8 (one lap each). How's that for the real deal? ;) It has come to the point where we're actually going to train for that track on my rig.

It is definitely better than jumping out of a perfectly good airplane, as Feud likes to do, but if it doesn't have wings, it probably isn't worth it. :P

Hey, until you land and stop you're only assuming it's a perfectly good airplane, and if it's not by then it'll be too late.

I'd be very interested, but it doesn't work on XP, so I cannot play it. :/

I'd like to see if the game has improved since the beta.

I have that game but never got around to playing it, silly Multi-player only. *grumble*

It has (surprisingly good) bots now.

Release is tomorrow.

it seems you really got into that game.. so, are there clan battles and strategies involved in the fighting or is it mostly pub games?

There are clan battles with different modes and strategies, though I never played in them. There's a time limit each standard battle of 15 minutes, which only happens in draws (nobody captures base, both teams still standing).

A few of the defcon players, including me have been playing regulary. Hopefully it will get much better after they release the global clan wars. When they do it might be interesting to get a forum clan into the battles :)

I would be interested then for sure.
