So I'll be buying the official wiring diagram from Porsche today, for 8 bucks. Feels like a really weird thing to do when just working on a sim rig but I'm definitely enjoying this.

Once I almost bought a flight helmet off of an Apache helicopter pilot friend of mine simply so I could wear it while playing flight sims. I don't find what your doing weird at all.

Several friends and I managed to find a deal where we get to drive on the Nordschleife in a Lambo Gallardo, Ferrari F430, Porsche 911 GT3 RS and a top-spec Audi R8 (one lap each). How's that for the real deal? ;) It has come to the point where we're actually going to train for that track on my rig.

it seems you really got into that game.. so, are there clan battles and strategies involved in the fighting or is it mostly pub games?

There are clan battles with different modes and strategies, though I never played in them. There's a time limit each standard battle of 15 minutes, which only happens in draws (nobody captures base, both teams still standing).

A few of the defcon players, including me have been playing regulary. Hopefully it will get much better after they release the global clan wars. When they do it might be interesting to get a forum clan into the battles

I would be interested then for sure.
