Heh...I was reading something the other day about "10 signs you play too much video games"...I think number 11 should be "You've completed a game that hasn't even been released yet."

I can't remember, is that the one where you control a dinosaur? A dinosaur, that whenever he roars, shoots beams out of its mouth?

The sarcasm in his description is what got me, I suppose.

If you experience the Tetris Effect after playing this, you have my sympathy.

LC and the Gaurdian of Light is indeed very good, and decent value too, could easily be GBP20.

It a platformy, RPG, shmup a bit Baldur's Gate meets Devil May Cry, with a retro sprinkling of Cadaver on the Amiga.

I wasn't really expecting much from Lara, but I shall have to try it out once I shake this Civilization 5 addiction!

Guardian of Light is pretty darn awesome. Got it on XBox the week it came out and played it local coop with a mate. Played for a good 12+ hours trying to get all the unlocks we wanted and stuff. Nearly 100%ed it too.

So, Super Meat Boy coming out in about two weeks. It's amusing going through older news entries for it and see the release date slip, but also the level count increase over time. Which version will you get? It is promised that the PC/Mac version will get a level editor about six months after release, the XBox version will get free content updates, nothing is known about the Wii version, there is a vague hint for maybe exclusive unlockable characters (please let me run Mario into a buzzsaw, please, please, please.) there and on the PC. It's a pixel artsy game and should be digested in its native resolution, if possible, and it's not known what that is; development started on the Wii, so it might just be low res still. Decisions, decisions. Also, expecting an essay on Why Platform Exclusive Content Sucks by one of you.

Ah, I forgot to mention. I was recently given a rather nice discount for Gran Turismo 5 which got me the Signature Edition (i.e. the super-duper collector's edition of € 180) for the regular game price of € 60. :) I'll be sure to put up some pictures when it arrives in November, will be a good opportunity to finally show you my rig with the Fanatec racing kit and a 42" plasma. :D

Was it not implied the free DLC for the 360 would just be usermade levels from the PC version? It may end up with me getting both the PC and Wii version.

No, not quite. One or several chapters of the XBox content would be combined user made levels from the PC, but most would be whatever the devs would come up with themselves after release. Of course, what's to stop players from recreating the exclusive levels in the editor? Copyright laws? Yeah, right :) Missing features, maybe.
