I was just reading the fineprint on C&C 4 over at Impulse and I noticed it said "A constant Internet connection is required to play this game." I checked, and no this isn't Ubisoft. Is this true?

Yep. Best of all, they claim C&C 4 is "DRM Free".

Hehe, yup! No DRM! You just have to be online all the time otherwise you can't save! Aren't we lovely?

Well considering my internet connection consistently prevented me from playing EVE for more than 30 seconds yesterday (this is NOT an exaggeration) I think I'll give C&C4 a pass.

It takes a while to realise but EVE is a lot like WoW. It sucks until you get to the "end game". On the plus side it take only a very short period of time to reach the end game. So basically, as soon as you know the ropes, go find a player corp. Preferably one thats into lowsec stuff or wormhole raiding. You probably still wont get much action yourself for a while but if you tag along looting all the wrecks your financial problems will be well and truly solved.

I tried EVE 4 years ago, loved it for a few months, went off of it.

Exactly the same thing happened again last year. I stuck around for about 12 months this time.

I think it's the whole MMO thing, rather than EVE. Being that EVE has been the -only- MMO I've had any interest in. It's that whole being beholden-unto-others thing about MMOs that I can't get into. I like my gaming thrills "switch on, have fun, switch off" - MMOs take up far too much time (albeit for some really great payoffs - I can see that)

I want an MMO I can solo in, where the other players flesh out the world but where I can get by just fine by myself, thanks. Which is why I'm a bit excited about the upcoming Old republic Star Wars MMO.
Whoever you vote for, the government wins.

So, who tried Moonbase Alpha so far? I made a solo game and found it strangely engaging in a zen kind of way.

I thought it was mmo? Well maybe we can set up a introversion game? Would you mind to elaborate a bit tho?
