Question though, can any of the badges be removed after they are issued?
If not, can they be "upgraded" ?

Badge Virgin "The opposite to being a badge whore?"
In before the Badges "Join date prior to badges implementation." ( That's one for a lot of us. )
"Surely you didn't mean to press that button just then did you?"
"No, nor will i disarm the nukes."
"Oh well, I will have my Fighters shoot them down."
"Sure you will."
"Oh NOES, ITS BEEN PATCHED!!!"

Veteran Badges, if you were a member of the forum prior to Darwinia/DEFCON/Multiwinia

That's basically the Uplink Dev badge.

Tell me how the Uplink DevCD qualifies you as a Darwinia modmaker for example. ;)

Yeah, the Uplink Dev badge only denotes ownership of the DevCD: I haven't made a public mod myself, for example. The_GoldFish suggested a modder badge earlier, and I agree wholeheartedly; I think it's possibly the most constructive badge type we could have. Unless the point is to be arbitrary, rather than constructive :P

It'd be nice to get a badge for each IV game you own. Means that most people will feel special because they've got badges for their games. :D

I also second the Mod Developer badge idea: a different one for each game.

And the Ultimate Glowing Badge Of Ultimate Destiny, awarded if you do something really special. (if possible, the mouse-over description would describe what you'd actually done, rather than just saying "something really special")
