Cal me ignorant but i only just noticed that a lot of Defcon players seem a lot older than I...... just curious of the general ages of the players and users of the forum......

Might it be even so that at the time of taking the poll you fell out of the range of the agegroups? :P (* doesn't remember when Jelco's birthday is :roll: *)

If you'd actually care to read the poll in question (it's linked from the Overview) you get your answers - one of them is: one cannot fall 'out of the range' of the age groups, because a) the groups cover all possible ages and b) that's some poor English. :P

Age- wise I should be in the 15-20 area, but there were a few years when I was presented 2 cakes (at different parties, one family, one friends). So I will have to say 20-25

i'm forty - a mature gamer - i used to sneak into the school computer lab to play Elite on BBC computers! :D

who remembers Elite here?? - quite possibly the best computer game of all time... 8)

who remembers BBC computers?...aah, nostalgia ain't what it used to be... :lol:

but next year i won't have a button to press on the poll...

We have BBC Computers in the physics lab in my High School. Though I just graduated this year.

crikey - they got to be 25 years old! have you ever tried loading Elite from one of those big floppy disks? (they were floppy then lol :) )

surely mobile phones are more powerful than beebs nowadays (though not so programable i guess...)
