The place to hang out and talk about totally anything general.

Christ, I knew someone would bump this after I named the link on IRC again, but zjoere's bump is completely unrelated. :P

I cant believe that I've only just read this...

I hindsight I guess I was bumping, it just didn't occur to me at the time. I was actually going through all of Jelco's polls and voting. I commented where I felt it was worth commenting.

As for my spelling, if you have a close look at many of my posts you will find that thay were edited several times. This was to get rid of spellings errors, as that have got me into trouble before, namely from xander and NeoThermic.

TL;DR.

Read the first page and a half.

Neither gosox nor Mega Troll Wanker have risen to the levels of beno.

MTW can TOTALLY pull loop-de-loops at 22,000 feet with his trusty Mac. I don't see why not. Columbo can TOTALLY solve crimes with his trusty Mac.

This has been a fascinating thread. Gosox has provided some interesting topics to ponder. Here's my short list, in no particular order.

Stereotypes:
What is the role of hormone-driven under educated adolescents in publicly accessible forums?

Prejudice:
Prejudice and stereotypes, when applied to physical appearance differ greatly from the pure transfer of ideas that a forum provides. Prejudice based on ability to communicate would appear to be entirely ethical as it relates to the purpose of the forum. It is possible for someone to be untrained in proper grammar and communication skills, but still manage to convey their ideas successfully. I would think that intelligent young people with these skills would put themselves in a situation to have their skills improved upon.
( schooling, or plain ol' surfin tha webz. )

Shakespeare:
It's said that Shakespeare "froze" the English language. English has changed so little since Shakespeare, relative to how quickly it changed before him. Perhaps the internet will prove to have an even stronger chilling effect.

I wanted to share my thoughts on this off-topic, it is wonderful.
Here is a link to a brief history of English.

At this rate, we'll never able to give this thread an epic bump after +1 year of inactivity.
