GIS Contest #DEAD

Postby jelco » Sat Apr 12, 2008 5:46 pm

No, this is not a rip-off of the GIS Contest over at Rooster Teeth. Not entirely, that is. About five years ago now, my friends and I would have a small weekly contest that someone showed the others an image, and the others had to guess what phrase this person had put into Google Image Search. I was reminded of this game by the GIS Contest at the Rooster Teeth website (apparently Burnie has been doing it for some time in his journal, but yesterday he did one on the front page). I decided to pick up this game again over here.

The rules are simple, I post an image and you have to guess what phrase I typed into Google Image Search to get this as a result. Furthermore...
- Only ask yes/no questions
- Repeated/open/irrelevant questions will be ignored
- SafeSearch is set to Moderate
- The image contains (a) hint(s) to the phrase
- If the image appears to be too difficult, I will give out hints

Don't guess the phrase. Guessing is done by trying it in GIS, and if this pic doesn't show up as the nth image in your results - n being the number mentioned along with the image - you are wrong. Guessing in the topic will spoil it for the others.

Previous images:

Image #1 (5 words - 1st result)
Image #2 (4 words - 6th result)

Image numero trois:

Image

The phrase is 4 words. Image is the first result. Guesses start here.

No-one knows for sure, but she's believed to be the deceased wife of the person on the left.

Jelco

PS: Yeah, I know. It's a yes/no question and I answer with a long sentence. :P

No. Look into the picture more, there's a deeper meaning behind the look/expression of the ghost.

Real in what way? Try to be somewhat more specific.

Real in the way that they ever existed or are just the imagination of dori.

I don't know who dori is, but the characters are fictional.

Oh, in that sense. The man who made the painting has nothing to do with the phrase.

Is the phrase the first five words of Edgar Allan Poe's 'The Raven'?

Winner.

You could just have posted the phrase itself, though. For the uninitiated, it's "Once upon a midnight dreary".

New one coming up.

EDIT: Here start the guesses for image #2.
