I would put IT since it's the closest, but I've completed four years of school in that field and have decided that I hate it (strong word, but true). However, I enjoyed the few programming courses I took and found myself neglecting my other homework to learn more, so I'm switching to CS. I should have chosen CS in the first place, but I didn't know the difference when I applied. IT covers just about everything I'm not interested in concerning computers (minus a few), but I love CS.

My dream job would be Chris Delay's job. But back to reality, I plan to be a software engineer, developing application software of some kind.

EDIT: On second thought, it asks what my current occupation is, which is University.

Studying for a BEng in Computer Science at York University, with one year to go, but currently I'm living in Switzerland as part of my sandwich placement developing web applications for the agronomics information services department of where I work.

I'm just finishing my second-last year of secondary school at the moment, and I'm agonising over whether to go into a uni course for computer science/software engineering or to just go straight into working - I've got a casual job in programming paying $30/hour, which is about what most people get straight out of university here. Plus, the current job is entirely open-source based, and I absolutely love working with linux and perl - only thing is that I might not have many places to go from there without a degree.

Short version: secondary school, +1.
