Who should manage England next?

Postby MegaDeathKill! » Sat Oct 20, 2007 1:41 am

Steve Mc Donut has been a disaster from beginning to end and I'd like to see Mourinho manage us!

My choice when they were originally looking for someone would have been O'Neill, but out of the final 2 I'd have had Big Sam every time. They only picked McClaren cause he was the easy option having already been involved in the England set up so long, and they wanted to get someone in quick after losing Scolari so spectacularly.

Personally, I think the US should manage England. Maybe the entire UK. Heck, make it the EU.

The US can't be relied on to manage their own affairs... Why should they be allowed to manage anyone elses?

One legitimate post and we are back on to politics :P. I personally think we need to send in the Fleet to deal with you rebellious colonists, and restore control of North America to the Crown.

As for the football, I think that Portugese guy that was going to take the job but never did (can't remember his name) should get it, as he has actually managed a successful football club before.

I think Brian Ashton is doing a fantastic job and should keep it. :P

I mean the footy team mate! Ashton is doing a great job and I agree, he should stay.

Yes, I feel the same. The main reason we lost was because we had a perfectly good try disallowed!

It was a joke.

[oops]Your football is called soccer in the US, and it's rare that a public school doesn't have a soccer team. You'd be hardpressed to find an able American that hasn't played the game. Thus, it is not weird to us mystified Americans at all. Sorry to spoil your fun.[/oops]
EDIT: You were talking about rugby, sorry. Though we don't have rugby teams at every school, we still know quite well what it is.

I have no idea why we decided to be different and call it soccer. Also, we could say that the way you say sucker sounds like soccer just like the way you say guard sounds like God [in some areas of the UK].

The game Brits refer to as "football" is most correctly called "Association football" as "football" is a general term which applies to a whole genre of sports (American football, Association football, rugby, Australian rules, etc.). "Soccer" is an abbreviation of "Association football" (Soc-er).
