For some reason -not known to myself - that smiley and its variants make me think of a penguin.
An animated penguin; not a "real life penguin as you'd picture it in your mind".
Sometimes it reminds me of that squirrel in Ice age, but when I see it out of the blue, the penguin (beak and all) starts to appear....

I'm not sure what that means (:P) but if you think that's bad, you should see what I visualise with some of those other "smileys". Freud would have a field day...
