Mostly for non-Europeans, but just for fun: Do you know who he is? Don't go Google it first either.

Hey! There's one option missing: Football Player

And although I'm not a fan, it's nearly impossible not having heard of him around here. Actually the news of is transference probably made a bigger headline here than in the US and he's not even from this country!

He's not so much famous as a football player as he is as a celebrity in general.

I agree with Xocrates entirely...football player :P.

If you live in the Uk/parts of Europe, it is almost impossible not to know.

Heh, you do realize that putting "Don't cheat" in the thread title invites people to cheat?

I wish I could vote for more than one choice though

Where's that rubber chicken, it was around here somewhere. . .

I didn't know about David Beckham, but think I've heard his name on BBC-America, and DW-Journal news.
I don't pay attention much to sports, much less soccer (foreign sports). Mexico is so close to me, but cock/bullfights aren't newsworthy.
If David is like Michael Jordan of the U.S. he already has my respect. But can I trust Ace's info?
Is there any chance David would co-star in a Warner Brothers movie with Bugs Bunny and Elmer Fudd?

Actually, Beckham is probably more like Dennis Rodman than Michael Jordan.

He's not a soccer player. he plays within Europe, hence, he is a football player.

Only them wusses over in North America play soccer. You know the ones. Them who wrap themselves up in cotton wool and bubble wrap to play Rugby.
Whoever you vote for, the government wins.

Actually, he plays for the LA Galaxy. In case you were wondering, LA stands for Los Angeles. If that doesn't clear things up for you at all, Los Angeles is in California, which is in the United States. Thus, he plays soccer. Q.E.D.
Yes, I know that he used to play in Europe. I recognize that American soccer is trying to use his name to increase the popularity of the sport here. The above is what is known as "a joke," poking fun at American ethnocentrism. Laugh.
