hmm, look outside wheeeeere:

"the cat came back the very next day,
the cat came back, we thought he was a goner,
the cat came back, he just wouldn't stay away."

From that crazy little cartoon, and apparently, an American song.

Blood on the cheese
Little mousey running for his life
In the middle of the night
Dogs howl
Say hello to Mr Knife

You're going to hell
on a mousetrap

EDIT: Found a better song.

I'm a bastards of Bodom and I walk alone
As I follow the reaper, to lead me back home
My victims shall perish on the shores of this lake
As they look upon me, to stare death in the face

I don't need a reason, and I won't tell you why
I'll just take you to hell by the edge of my scythe!

(Children of Bodom - Bastards of Bodom)

Yet more Children of Bodom? :o

All our times have come
Here but now they're gone
Seasons don't fear the reaper
Nor do the wind, the sun or the rain
We can be like they are

Come on baby... Don't fear the Reaper
Baby take my hand... Don't fear the Reaper
We'll be able to fly... Don't fear the Reaper
Baby I'm your man...

I just like the music. And the lyrics are perfect when the subject changes to hell or death.

Well, I don't listen to gothic music. Look what it's done to you. Now you want to shoot people. Shame on you!

Don't worry, be happy
Lood at me I am happy
Don't worry, be happy
Here I give you my phone number
When you worry call me
I make you happy
Don't worry, be happy
...
But don't worry be happy
Cause when you worry
Your face will frown
And that will bring everybody down
...
Put a smile on your face
Don't bring everybody down like this
Don't worry, it will soon past
Whatever it is
Don't worry, be happy

(If you don't know what that is, you need a hug.)

Well, I didn't ask you to.

EDIT:

Standing in your _ of a dress,
With your shoulders bare to the wind,
And your hazel hair tumbles down and covers your face,
You are _, but I know.

Just can't be happy without you
Just can't be happy without you
Just can't be happy without you
Just can't be happy without you

EDIT 2: That was Just Can't Be Happy by the Manic Street Preachers.

I could say day, and you'd say night
Tell me it's black when I know that it's white
Always the same, it's just a shame that's all

Grey's my favorite color
Black and white has never been my thing
I'll take my drink lukewarm now
Hot and cold is not the thing for me

Children of Bodom isn't gothic. They do however look like it, and the music definitely is somewhat related. But their genre is melodic black metal / melodic death metal. I'm not sure which.

It feels like somebody put something Somebody put something in my drink
Somebody put something Somebody put something

Blurred vision and dirty thoughts
Feel out of place, very distraught
Feel something coming on

Kick the jukebox, slam the floor
Drink, drink, drink, drink some more
I can't think Hey! What's in this drink?

Yes

Ramones - Somebody put something in my drink

Beaujolais goes straight to my head
Beaujolais puts me to shame
And I don't know why I'm in this place or how I came
Beaujolais and I go crazy
Beaujolais I can't explain
But it helps me to forget the past and ease the pain

(Alan Parsons Project - Beaujolais)

PS: Ace, I'm working on my fansite right now! I'm going to call it DEFCON42, I think.
