The portal has been past and it's time to make a turn,
To follow the reaper until the point of no return.

(...)

Now when your blindly death-raying blade
swept my griefs and tears away.
I'd never go back to cross that line.
I cross my heart and hope to die.

I was only 21 when I died.

Follow the Reaper, also by Children of Bodom. Their songs are usually about death, the Grim Reaper or the Lake Bodom murders, of which the victims have often been called children of Bodom - hence the band's name.

Come on, man!
How is it feelin' over there?
(Wake up and live now) All right!
(Wake up and live!) Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Uh!
Come on, man!
You gotta wake up and live!

This ain't a song for the broken-hearted
No silent prayer for faith-departed
I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd
You're gonna hear my voice
When I shout it out loud

It's my life
It's now or never
But I ain't gonna live forever
I just wanna live while I'm alive (It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said, "I did it my way"
I just wanna live while I'm alive
It's my life

Bon Jovi - It's My Life

This is fun! Actually we're not really beating each other, we're completing each other!

But Ill take my time anywhere
Free to speak my mind anywhere
And Ill redefine anywhere
Anywhere I may roam
Where I lay my head is home

Wherever I may Roam - Metallica

The traveller is always leaving town
He never has the time to turn around
And if the road he's taken isn't leading anywhere
He seems to be completely unaware

The traveller is always leaving home
The only kind of life he's ever known
When every moment seems to be
A race against the time
There's always one more mountain left to climb

Alan Parsons Project - Days Are Numbers (The Traveller)

Take a point called Z in the complex plane
Let Z1 be Z squared plus C
And Z2 is Z1 squared plus C
And Z3 is Z2 squared plus C and so on
If the series of Z’s should always stay
Close to Z and never trend away
That point is in the Mandelbrot Set

Mandelbrot Set you’re a Rorschach Test on fire
You’re a day-glo pterodactyl
You’re a heart-shaped box of springs and wire
You’re one badass fucking fractal

Well, I can't think of one. I guess I'm just bad at this game. Or maybe BrianBlessed's is just too obscure. A pat on the back for anyone who can beat it.

Code: Select all

Error: Object reference not set to object.

hahaha. My non-lyricness defeats you all! (In relation to this, only about 4% of the music i listen to actually has lyrics.)

Thanks! I think I get this now, helps if the theme's easy to spot.

Now who dares to trump Floyd?

Only the King can trump Floyd

You aint nothin but a hound dog
Cryin all the time.
You aint nothin but a hound dog
Cryin all the time.
Well, you aint never caught a rabbit
And you aint no friend of mine.

Floyd 'gain. Brilliant song, Sheep.

"When cometh the day we lowly ones
Through quiet reflection and great dedication
Master the art of karate
Lo, we shall rise up
And then we'll make the bugger's eyes water.

Bleating and babbling I fell on his neck with a scream.
Wave upon wave of demented avengers
march cheerfully out of obscurity unto the dream.

Have you heard the news? The dogs are dead!"

As more of a complement to it rather than beating it:

Well now you know that your
Cat has nine lives, babe:
Nine lives to itself
But you only got one
And a dog's life ain't fun
Mamma take a look outside

EDIT: Oh, uh: Crippled Inside - John Lennon
