OMG, thats like exactly what i'm talking about!

However it's still at least 1 year before it's released :(

But it looks cool, has a galaxy with hundreds of billions of worlds, with proper physics, and you can fly all the way from space to the surface of planets.

Infinity does look extremely impressive...though very ram consuming by the looks of it.

Wait so with this game infinity, can you sneak aboard ships etc and kill the pilot? Kinda like in Battlefield 1942 but better?

LLAAAMMMEEE, I thought infinity was going to be great but you can't even walk around the cities or ships.

first of all i can´t do programming, second i am not good in english BUT i have some ideas in mind inspired by infinity and browsergames i played (and defcon of cause). my problem is that i don´t know which ideas could be done and which not.
the reason of quitting browsergames after a while where simple calculations: the less you play the game the bigger the others get (because there is allways one playing it longer a day then you) and that is bad for everyones health. the other thing is that the only reason people are organizing in mmorpg is to have a bigger fleet as the other ally and after a while both will crash together without a real winner. my fear is that infinity will work almost the same. i would like to work on a game ( i want to learn programming) in which you can explore a big space step by step with carriers too big and expansive for one player alone, with a lot of different elements you have to use and habited planets (and maybe dustclouds) with alien lifeforms. a friend of mine studies biologie with focus on ecology, i will ask him which factors are important for that alongside pure accident. there could be 5-6 big alliances fighting for new territories but without a total focus on fight. the battles could look like strategiegames but with icons like you can see in battlestargalactica for example.

That's quite the aspiration. When you've finished it, give me a ring.

I think it would be cool, what do you guys think?

i had programming in school for half a year, 8-9 years ago, i have absolutly no plan where to start :D
i don´t have the big picture in my head, just would like to work on a good game together with others.
maybe its best to start for me with java or html as a core or engine behind visuals and userinterfaces; any recommendations for that?

HTML isn't programming, and unless they're puzzles like notpron or Montyphy's Conundrum, html games generally suck. The most often suggested first language that I've seen is Python. In my personal, and highly irrationally biased, opinion, if you are capable of learning Java straight off the bat, then you might as well just learn C++ - which is ruled by similar concepts, allows more low level tweaking and most important of all is an industry standard - you don't see any major titles coded in java. Alternatively, there's always Brainstab ;)
