No, even in Europe and Asia, people have been fighting back and forth over land for thousands of years. I am sure that the Khanti or Mantsi in Siberia would feel conquered. Or the Celts. Or the Anglos and Saxons in the British Isles when the Normans showed up. Indigenous peoples around the world have lost their land and livlihood to better equiped and more numerous people throughout history, all over the world.

Belgium gets it's name from the Belgae who were the celtic people living there before Caesar conquered them and turned the area into a Roman province. Later Germanic peoples fleeing Attila the Hun took over Belgium and later the Franks solidified Germanic control. Today you'd be hard pressed to find any evidence of the original celts who lived in Belgium.
