They only break what must be broken. No more. No less.

shinygerbil wrote:Rings can be sold. Sonic won't need any money; in his world, heroes get the recognition they deserve.

Mario saves the world without expecting anything in return. Mario seeks only to serve his fellow man.

shinygerbil wrote:No, because he was brought up to be polite and disregard mucus...Sonic has more fun. That's what games are all about.

Oxymoron.

shinygerbil wrote:Did you expect an animal to wear clothes?!

If he wants to be a good role model for our children, yes.

shinygerbil wrote:Where did you get that statistic from? Me, and the person who uploaded that tune, is at least two.

Sorry. Two.

shinygerbil wrote:Have you never played Half-Life?

Those are called ducts. Besides, Gordon's vote is for Mario.

shinygerbil wrote:Smart business.

Smart? How successful was it in comparison to Mariokart? And how fun in comparison to Mariokart?

shinygerbil wrote:No it isn't. Luigi is a sorry excuse for a sidekick. And I know he glides; it's still more than Mario.

Luigi glides? One more point for the Mario team.

shinygerbil wrote:No, it shows how much more evil Sonic's nemesis is.

I'll bet Mario could buddy up with Dr. Eggman.

shinygerbil wrote:Sonic was designed to be conquered with superspeed.

Mario could beat Sonic without superspeed.

If so, Sonic has no hope of saving the world, for he has no pets.

shinygerbil wrote:Mario has an odd-looking moustache. Tell me, can you grow hair like Sonic's? Size, shape, and all?

Long blue spines sticking out my back? I'd rather not.

shinygerbil wrote:I'd call it acceptable. Sonic can run across water if he's going fast enough.

There we have it. Sonic is rated Acceptable. Yet Mario wins with a rating of Totally Awesome!

shinygerbil wrote:Tails' tails.

If Tails grew another tail each time he died, he would have a lot of tails by the time the game is finished.

Final point: The poll.

Wouldn't shinygerbil's point simply mean that at least two people need the mp3 to remember the tune? And wasn't your original point that people can remember Mazza's music off the top of their heads?

/me is confused

Ah. Another point for Mario.

KingAl wrote:And wasn't your original point that you could remember Mazza's music off the top of your head?

If Mazza means Mario (I'm assuming that's what you meant), my original point was that the Mario soundtrack is famous.

There is no harm in breaking more than you need to, if you're going to break some bricks anyway.

Poor Mario.

Where? Am I missing something?

OK, he wears trainers. Or "sneakers," as the manual emphatically calls them.

Less successful, I'm sure, because it was only released for the Game Gear. I enjoyed it very much. And it didn't make a loss, I'm sure.

Well done. I see what you did there. Clever.

Because he's also smelly and nasty.

Mario could beat Sonic without superspeed.

That is not an objective opinion, I'm afraid.

He does; they're called Chaos. (As in the plural of the proper noun, Chao, Mister Pedant.)

Mass of silly black hair above my lip, but nowhere else? I'd rather not.

Well done. Taken out of context. As clever as that other time where you mistook my sentence deliberately.

Sonic wins this one because of overall coolness.

Then let me reword it: "Mario can go through round pipes unlike the pipes/ducts in Half-Life, unlike Sonic".

Incorrect, if I can but find a screenshot to prove it. There are pipes in several levels; the first that springs to mind is Hydrocity in Sonic 3.

Also Chemical Plant, kind of in Scrap Brain, and the last level of Sonic 3, which, for the life of me, I can't remember right now.

I think I'm going to have to pull out the 'Grandma wears Reeboks' rule to declare that Sonic is better than Mario; Mario automatically gets lameness points for all the unhip people that prefer his games (such as wwartnick).

BTW - Sonic Rush for the DS rocks harder than any Sonic game since the Genesis days. Period.

What part of "there were no Sonic games after the Genesis" do you not understand? ;)
