There are even a few who go both ways (perverts!).

Was that aimed at me? :P

Yo.

/me raises hand

I've spent pretty much the last 24 hours sitting in the living room and playing with my Wii. Sometimes alone, sometimes with an audience - which made me play with it all the harder, just to show it off. I even got my wife to play with it for a while while I sat back and watched. ;D

PC Plasma!

Postby Star*Dagger » Mon Nov 20, 2006 9:46 pm

I just have to chime in here.

As recently as two months ago my answer would have been that consoles suck and PC rules.

Im waiting to see the reviews of Star Trek Legacy for the Xbox360, a game that might bring Trek to the 360. ive been impressed with the level of complexity that MIGHT be available ont he xbox.

To me though, my PC is like a friend. I take care of him with regular upgrades, semi-annual graphic card updates, all the RAM he needs and then some as well as Hard drives in the terabyte realms. I seriously doubt that any console would want to meet my system in a dark alley. My graphics cards (SLI) have more transistors than the ENTIRE Xbox 360 does (close to 2x times ALL the chips in there). I also spend at least 1,000€ per year on him, 2K€ when the system has to be rebuilt (MB, procs, newer ram, etc). The only thing that stays the same is the case, which will usually last until there is some other must have case out there. Im using the Armor (sr not jr) by Thermaltake now.

I respect the 360 guys, but id miss mods, movies, pron downloads and the 50,000 other things i do on my computer.

So Peace to all the gamers, console or PC. Im a PC partisan, but like in RL, I say let people do what they want in their homes.

Yours in Romulan PC Plasma,

Yup. But i am a cheap guy:
The last console i bought was the N64 one year ago (20€ for the console, 20€ for 4 great games and 2 controllers).

The last upgrade for my computer was a GF5900 5 months ago.

I remember buying the n64 when it came out, along with Goldeneye. Ah good times. Very good times.

The only consoles I've got are an n64 and a sega genesis. The greatest ever sega game was battletoads, two player. Beat up your teammate and throw him over the edge. I don't think I've had that much fun in a long long time.

Vectorman was better, both of them.

I never played Vectorman II, but the original was great.

Sonic notwithstanding, Flashback was a great game. (Yes, I know it wasn't Megadrive only, but what are you gonna do?)

Sonic was okay. It doesn't stand a chance against Mario. I rented vectorman once back when it was new, but I didn't beat it. It was fun while it lasted though. Never played number 2. I wanted to play Boogerman, but never got around to it. Earthworm Jim, though, was a classic.

Vectorman II was so much easier than Vectorman I, VI had about 34943983 levels whereas VII had about 80, but the boss was harder. Unfortunatly I sold my sega for the N64, I now wish I hadnt but Battle Tanks was an awesome game, so was Jet Force Gemini. It sucked because it was only after a really long time that I figured out I had to save those damn bears.

I want a Wii. Is it awesome?

Also, is Goldeneye 007 available on the N64 channel?

I must know!

Wii is awesome. The only N64 game available right now is Super Mario 64. (1000 Wii Points, or $10 USD, $12.50 CAD)

Bomberman '94 and Bonk's Adventure just showed up about an hour or so ago.

I'm sure there are tons of people waiting for Goldeneye, and since it was the most popular N64 game ever, I'm sure they'll get it on there eventually. Personally, I'm waiting for Perfect Dark rather than Goldeneye, as I've never played it. Jet Force Gemini (correct name?) looked cool too back in the day.

My most wanted games though? Chrono Trigger, and the TG16's Devil's Crush - coolest video pinball game EVER.

I've already burned through 3700 points in 3 days - my wallet's going to cringe when more Super NES and TG16 games make their way to the VC...
