Could we get a unified forum policy here, please?
Neothermic, given you're now our public solicitor, or third-party-appointed to the matter or the such:
Could you please have a word with yourself, chris, icepick or who-the-(excuse me)fuck-ever it is with whom you may need deliberate and get some final position on our avatars/sigs?
One forum this okay, the other not...come'on, get it in order already, please!
It's been dragged for too many years.

The problem with rules like that is they have to be enforced. Sure, removing someone's avatar because its a 1280x1024 screenshot is something we all can agree on. However, limits and stuff is something that would be open to debate all day long.
The real question is, if you could make the rules, what would you put? If everyone can come up with an agreed ruleset, it might get us further, but if we can't, then we are stuck.
Also, do we need rules? The distinct lack of them makes this place fun more than anything else.
I dunno. Show me your thoughts and then we can see what happens.

You forgot beuro5.
Yes, I could start phrasing a ruleset and what not, but lets say screw with that and be far more deliberate:
Uplink has sings.
Defcon doesn't.
Defcon has avatars.
Uplink doesn't.
Now, we're all one big happy IV community here.
So what gives?
That's what I want to know.
Why is it felt that it's okay to allow this in uplink or darwinia or defcon but not at the other place(s)?
Why do I have to post in uplink and see my sig, but not avatar, then come here and it's reversed.
It's bloody ridiculous!

I haven't used caps, the point is that it's illogical and as such I find it stupid.
Nothing to raise an eyebrow over.
Are you displacing your emos on me?
I dunno...off to play uplink a bit.
My point is it's really not worth getting that upset over. You look silly.
And displacing? Nope. Wife and kid, and I go outside once in a while.
