Today is 10th October 2010, or 10/10/10. When today's date is expressed as a binary number (0b101010) it has the decimal value of 42. It also happens to be the day Ubuntu 10.10 is released.

Wait, only NOW? Over here that's in the final week of August, before the academic year even starts.

Some universities in the UK don't start term until the second week of October as it allows them a longer period during the summer to be renting accommodation and lecture rooms for conferences as well as carry out renovation work.

The date is also expressible as x x 2x x, which only happens once every 201 years (i.e. 9 9 1809, or 11 11 2211).

So Dawn of War II was on sale at a local store for $7, finally got around to getting a copy. Never played, read, or had any other form of real contact with the Warhammer universe, so we'll see what happens.

It's quite simple really: The fascist religious fanatics who kill entire worlds due to heresy are the good guys, and they wield chainsaws capable of cutting open tanks as swords.

Strictly speaking, the Tau and Eldar are less evil, though. (They'll still exterminate a species that's stubbornly in their way, though.)
As for ridiculousness, the Eldar have ghosts driving their larger vehicles, and a lot of their guns shoot souls.

And the orks are dumb enough for environmentalists groups to complain about the senseless slaughter of these "defencless" creatures.

Ah, yes, the orcs. The fungus species. They emit spores, especially when they die, and the spores cultivate buds underground that then grow into more orcs. They're closer to being plants than being a sentient species.

And yet they have the power to tune up their vehicles by painting them red.

 True.
To change the topic again, has anyone noticed that this thread has over a million views now? That's fairly ludicrous.

1002311 views/13194 posts = ~76 views per post.

The general view to post count is suprisingly high on this forum considering the amount of people who frequent it regularly. Fess up, who's been mashing F5?

It's not because they're red that they are faster, it's because the Orks believe that painting them red makes them faster! :P

Oh, and the real good guys are the Dark Eldar dammit!
