Let's go.........RANDOM!

The place to hang out and talk about totally anything general.

New workplace, not bad internet

EDIT: Traffic must have been a little heavy last time. This looks better!

FURTHER EDIT: OK, pretty good!

ARRRGH I HATE YOU!!!

Recently my dad upgraded us from 15 Mbps to 40 Mbps. Our modemrouter, however, only supports up to 16 Mbps. The ISP wants us to pay an extra 10 NIS/month for a better modemrouter. My dad is "not taking their shit". Result: 16 Mbps. :?

It's just a shame I'm not allowed to use the internet for much other than work. (And checking IV forums. ;))

I was pretty happy with my 50Mbps home fibre connection...now it feels way, way too slow :(

(so on the plus side, I wouldn't be able to tell much difference between 16 and 40...)

Honestly, I don't do too much downloading, and even less uploading. The speed of my internet will probably not make a major difference to my life. But it's still annoying that other people have better speeds :P

Not bad.......1153 pgs at last count! Longest topic in whole IV forums!

I still think my internet is the worst on earth!

Jasper, please stop making multiple posts in a row within a thread. Use the edit button.

Edit: The fact that I had to delete 50+ off-topic posts belonging to you, posted in a span of about 5 minutes, makes it even worse. You are warned.

BBC radio 6 seems to like playing "God save the Queen" every once in awhile. I wonder if there is some kind of message considering bbc had the song banned for some time.

You can't have any of our internet, we need it all :( I would suggest just painting go-faster stripes on the side of your internet!

Jelco

I don't know why the upload speed is so slow - I'm regularly pushing a gigabit out; it's definitely symmetric.

given that at any time of day we'll have at least 1 or 2 Gbps of data going out, i wouldn't be surprised if our network was a little congested ;)
