If you meant that no one has guns your 'here' and my 'here' are two very different places. And around 'here' usually about 2-3 guns per person minimum; one to hunt, one for home defense, one for screwing around (those guns that aren't officially legal usually fall into this category).

I'm personally okay with guns. I don't think people need to own assault weapons and artillery but rifles, shotguns, pistols I understand the uses of in peoples lives here in a rural setting. At bare minimum you need them to deal with people thinking they can get cattle and horses for free as well as various animal pests, anything from opossums and rabbits to coyotes and wolves.
