I don't think I've listened to any of the people Jelco mentioned. :P

At least I recognise some of them. . . .

Nonsense! There's several songs from those bands that most people have heard but never heard the title of.
I can understand if you're not a big Maiden/Priest fan, but if you don't recognize at least some of these songs you really haven't lived a proper life. :) Also yes, I was bored.

I recognise: Walk this Way, Pour Some Sugar On Me, and Run to the Hills. The first two because of their choruses being in various AMV Hells. :P

The rest I do not recognise and I haven't even heard of FM, Foreigner, The Scorpions or Whitesnake!

Yeah, a few us came to realise a while back that Xarlaxas is a highly deprived individual who grew up in a cave. :P

Heck, I grew up in a cave and have no love for those bands, and even I recognize to some extent most of that list.

Maybe I'm just getting old :(

Didn't know FM or Whitesnake, but then again they come from an area of music I've never liked.

I'd say it was a very nice cave but my wall started collapsing recently!

@Xocrates: I recognised most of the bands, just not the songs, but my family was big into classical and world music. :P

How is that an exclusive anyway? I could do that with The Gimp myself if I cared at all.

I'd presume they doubt their readership knows how to do it themselves and won't question it.

That, and I think pretty much every tabloid claims to have the "exclusive" story, often on the same topic.

Anyone else watching Falling Skies? At first I was a bit sceptical about "yet another sci-fi about invading alien overlords" but it's managed to impress me so far. Intriguing setting, immersive story and top-notch actors make for quite a good watch. I'm curious how long-term the storyline has been planned out, but so far it doesn't disappoint. (Personally I don't hold TNT in high regard so this high quality really stands out.)

I've been watching it, enjoying it. I am a HUGE fan of sci-fi, as well as the apocalyptic/post-apocalyptic genre, so the show is right up my ally.

I'm a bit concerned with whether it will make past the first few seasons, but it definitely has a lot of potential and a great setting.

Plus, the guns in it are quite nice. :D
