I especially liked the line after the Gubenator walked off screen: "He wants to be president." The movie was fun. ;)

I'm not sure if this has been post already:
Ground zero allows you to select a location anywhere in the world and a type of nuclear device. It then stimulates the nuking.

In recent weeks, we have been lucky to get 700 Kb/s. We are paying for "up to" 3 Mb/s. I hate all of you. :(

Well at least I'm getting what I* pay for :)

In my experience, a quick complaint to the ISP makes the internet speed what it should be. Even easier if they have an online chat feature. I've done it twice before.

Clearly you have never tried to talk to AT&T, who are basically the only DSL provider in this area (we could get cable, I suppose, which would be a little faster, but costs many times as much). We lost all internet access a few months ago. I called them. I first explained what I had done (checked all settings on three different computers, checked the settings on the router, rebooted the router, &c.), then asked if there were any outage in the area. Then then proceeded to walk me through their script for an hour before discovering that there was an outage in the area. AT&T does't care---they have a virtual monopoly here.

A quick complaint to the ISP caused them to reduce my internet speed on account of the line not being able to handle it.

*is very glad to live in Israel right now where the biggest ISP cares*

Alright, I gotcha. That totally sucks.

But my ISP cares, a lot. I'm not sure why, there isn't that much of a competition... There is, but the alternatives are known to do more harm than good. (I mean, seriously, cable+phone+internet+moving+everythingelse company? That's doomed to fail from the very beginning)
They give out free stuff and discounts every few days through Twitter ("first 5 people to click this" links, stuff like that).
They once had a program that put up some prize and the first person to click gets it. That thing got me 2 * coffee+pastry, one ice cream (damn, I think I lost that cupon), and one breakfast and two movie tickets (= Inception!). Unfortunately that program was discontinued.
They have great support and don't make promises they can't keep.
etc etc

So yeah, I know you're kinda jealous right now. AT&T sounds like it could use a boycott, but we all know that's never gonna happen :(

Good luck to you.

That's the neighbor's cable connection; their kids are all going off to college, so I'm being their new network admin over the wireless.
Our usual connection is a DSL line through Embarq/Centurylink, and it works poorly. They've always tried to be helpful, but outages are frequent and their support staff incompetent. They aren't nearly as cool as your ISP, Neatnit.
