Let's go.........RANDOM!
So... I just bought a PSP. It was cheaper than usual (not by much, but enough to compensate) and also bought an 8GB card.
I don't have any games for it yet (I think the UMDs were a bit overpriced. Seriously, wipeout Pure was at the price of a new release), but I managed to get the thing to play the Defcon Soundtrack, so it's all cool

Temporarily, I hope?
Me too, I have no idea what caused it, of course all the doctors are closed and it's not deemed an emergency so I've got to wait until Monday to see a doctor. My dad guesses it's a wax build up, which I really hope so! I quite like being able to hear (I appreciate it even more after a day of not having it in on ear)!
jelco wrote:On another note, I found this to be an interesting development. Any of you L4D players want to comment on this?
Jelco
I joined that group
Xocrates wrote:shinygerbil wrote:Yeah. L4D2 is a stupid idea.
Not really. From what I seen so far L4D2 seems to be looking up to be pretty good. I kind of agree with the too soon argument, though.
That group on the other hand is plain stupid.
Yes, it looks pretty good, but the problem that group is highlighting is that a lot of content was promised for L4D which was never delivered - all us gamers were trusting in valve to make good on their promises and now it looks like they never will.
And on a somewhat random note (appropriate I think )
For any programmers out there with a bit of spare time I just released a library I've been developing recently called AgentB, it's for easy (Actor based) concurrency in C# (queue 1 managed/unmanaged languages debate )
Introduction:

Release of AgentB v1.0:

Also, you can admire/criticise my website, feedback on either project is appreciated

I've had that twice, I think. Hope it's that, since it's easily taken care of.

The survival pack doesn't count? Besides, Valve has stated that they'll continue to update L4D
Beyond that, we plan to continue updating Left 4 Dead. We’re not done with that title, it’s not over.

This is EXACTLY why I don't get the boycott. We GOT new free content. What promises, exactly, have they gone back on? And now, they've even said they're not finished.
I'm as annoyed as anyone else that they haven't fixed matchmaking yet, but THAT's not going to stop me buying L4D2.
In semi-unrelated "news", I'm replaying the entire Half Life Saga (or in the case of Decay, playing), in this order:
Half Life
Half Life: Blue Shift
Half Life: Opposing Force
Half Life: Decay
Portal
Half Life 2
Half Life 2 Episode 1
Half Life 2 Episode 2
I'm thinking about doing a part two where I sample the best mods as well. Preliminary list:
Sven Coop (I have a few ideas of what series I want to play, and will get a "team" together)
USS Darkstar
They Hunger
Wanted!
Gunman Chronicles
Counter Strike: Condition Zero Deleted Scenes
Various Portal mods.
Minerva Metastatus
Please add your suggestions. I don't know many good mods.
You can tell I have exams.
Including PTFVMPFP (Portal: The Flash Version MapPack For Portal)?RabidZombie wrote:...

It does seem to be getting better, and I know it's not an infection because it doesn't hurt.

Did your site seriously just pop up a javascript alert telling me that it would use the default style as no cookie was found? I don't really need to know, and don't want to be annoyed.
It did? that was in for testing but I thought I removed it before uploading, I just checked and I hadn't, it's gone now. Of course I never got that alert on the live version becuase I have a cookie styled saved from when I tested it locally - hence why I didn't notice it

Match making is a pretty important feature, and it's still not done...
I find it seriously hard to believe that the fact they're working on l4d 2 isn't going to slow down their content releases at all for l4d. Also, the community of L4D 1 and 2 players are the same people, the population on L4D servers will be decimated

Huh? I know a lot of people that like the movies, but I doubt I know any that would call them best-movies-evar
You must have some incredibly geeky friends. That or you spend too much time on the internet.
The AFI put the Star Wars Trilogy on their list of the 100 greatest films of the 20th century several years ago. That may not make them the "best-movies-evar" in the opinion of the AFI, but it does put them above 99.99% of all movies ever made. So, yes, there are people who basically consider the Star Wars films to be the best movies ever made, within a very small margin of error.

I knew this was going to happen at some time or another, but I actually have a reason to buy a PS3 now. Or, at least, I will when this is actually released. Damn.

4v4 matchmaking apparently coming next week (or at least, news). 'Bout damn time!
I doubt it will slow down their content releases. I'm not sure how their content releases could GET any slower!
I definitely saw this once before somewhere. Don't remember when/where. I didn't find it very appealing tbh.xander wrote:I knew this was going to happen at some time or another, but I actually have a reason to buy a PS3 now. Or, at least, I will when this is actually released. Damn.
