Dollars? Not very British of you. Hmm... that's about £7.68. Sadly, London living wage is £8.30. :P
Perhaps consider moving somewhere more.. ghetto-y.? :roll:

To give you a slight idea of job distribution in the UK consider this...

Population of UK (i.e. England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland): 62,262,000
Population of England: 51,446,000
Population of London: 13,945,000

Population of USA: 312,653,000
Population of New York: 18,897,109

Percentage of British population who live in London: 22.397%
Percentage of English population who live in London: 27.106%
Percentage of American population who live in New York: 6.044%

;)

I can help out if needed. I use both Linux (Gentoo) and Windows (7) and have got experience writing easy to follow tutorials for installing and using software, and provide tech support for family and friends. I'm also currently unemployed so I've got a lot of time on my hands.

Try not to take any note of him in fact. That's best for all involved.

Hey, I'm new to the forums, but not Introversion's games.

I would like to volunteer if possible from a complete stranger.
I love your games and really excited myself, for fans, and for your company.
I know Uplink hasn't been updated in a while and really hope this influx of customers, and obviously the money, will give you motivation to work on the older games as well as fund/fuel new games or the current projects.
I live in the USA and can work whatever hours you need.

Few quick things:
I never got my confirmation email on my gmail account for "tommytom" and had to make this one. Nothing in spam. Might want to look at that. Yahoo worked fine for this account.

I see that Uplink is 1.6rc3, but I can't find a changelog. Nothing on http://www.introversion.co.uk/uplink/ or http://www.introversion.co.uk/uplink/news/ or even http://forums.introversion.co.uk/uplink ... m.php?f=13
So, I would think a "Changelog" link on the Uplink page would be good, even if it's only a link to the "Latest Patch" forum. And obviously the forum should be updated.

I did find it now in the normal installer (from the Humble Bundle, not Steam, which is "v1.54STEAM") and see it's nothing really important.

Code: Select all

===============================================================================
                               VERSION 1.6
===============================================================================

- Changed : Code Card removed from all versions of Uplink
- Changed : World Map now defaults to the original graphic.  The option to
            change to the Defcon style world map still exists under Graphics
            Options.

This, which is the first hit when you Google 'Uplink changelog', needs updating since there's this on the forums

I'm in dire need of money, but I don't know how useful I'd be at tech support.

...Plus I haven't played the games in a few years.
We're the same. Nuisances with nowhere to go.

Ow, goodie, you are so smart and wise, you rise above all the low and look who we have here, the king and the crow. Try not to take note of me for one day it might be so, that you will go and you will never know.

I'd love to be a part of this. Never really been active on the forums but i've been a pretty big fan of all your games for a good year or so.
I'm based in arkansas US, but I could easily provide support in the middle of the night or whatever, so yeah.

Edit: By never really been active i of course mean never made a post at all ever, though i have lurked occaisionally.
