I see the host and the password is accepted then sometimes it does the Attempts count, and sometime it seems to connect but doesn't really :(

Also I have to host one of the demo games or else I get the Full version only message on the Demo client.

Is anyone else having problems with this patch?

I'm experiencing the same issue when I tried to play with a demo player, and I thought it was just me. They just simply get the Full Version Only message.

Heh :) The DEMO player just has to click where the "Ready" menu item would normally be. It's hidden, but not deactivated.

Aha! Okay I'll try without a password... but it seems strange as it is very likely that a LAN game would be passworded!

I'm guessing it's a bug. ;)

A bit of a bump, but can/how do you host a LAN exclusive game, short of disconnecting the modem?

Nope, in one way or the other. You need to stop the advertising packets from reaching the metaserver by some external means.

You can't. But why not set a password?

Wasn't there some issues with LAN and passwords?
