Multiwinia Concept Video

We've had a great response to Multiwinia and lots of people are interested in the history / early versions of the game. As many of you know the orginial Multiwinia was developed as an enhancement for XBLA Darwinia before we turned it into a full stand alone game.

In order to get approval you need to submit a concept for the game, and here is our original concept video that we sent to Microsoft back in 2004. Enjoy!

Um, I know for a fact that <NDA> wasn't there for <NDA> until at least <NDA>.

The fact that the video contains the Survival of the Flattest tagline and a link to the demo pretty much highlights that this can't be wholly the original video that was given to MS.

Plus, there's the fact that you can clearly see a (recoloured, possibly based on Ice's early 07 model recolouring code) radar dish using the newer, low polygon shape that was introduced in Darwinia demo2, rather than the high polygon original Darwinia dish.

Really then, this is just a trailer. If there actually is a copy of a concept video from 2004, back when Xwinia apparently looked like this and this then that would be pretty neat, but, I'm pretty sure that this isn't that.

Indeed, given that XBox Live Aracde launched at roughly the same time that Darwinia hit beta testing (end of 2004), the time line seems somewhat wonky.

. Fits with le Halo 3 teaser, and the two numbers are next to eachother on the numberpad.
