Johnny gets married!

I am delighted to announce that our Technical Director and good friend Johnny Knottenbelt married Yulia Vladimirova in a ceremony in St Petersburg last Sunday. Johnny met Yulia while visiting Russia for a games conference over a year ago, and since that date has spent as much time as he could flying between our two countries!



The civil ceremony took place in St Petersburg at Wedding Palace number 1 in the morning, followed by a church ceremony at the "Church of the Icon of the Mother of All who Sorrow". Family from both sides and friends from around the world attended. All four Directors were there along with our girlfriends (Johnny is the first Director to tie the knot), and Mark was the Best Man for the occasion.



We had a fantastic party in St Petersburg that evening, with the wedding table hosting English guests on one side and Russian on the other. Much Vodka was consumed, many speeches and toasts were made, Johnny played the piano, there was cake, and everyone went home very happy.

I’d be surprised if the rest of the directors don’t follow soon …after I tied the knot with Mrs ynbniar we were going to 2 or 3 weddings a year for a while…it was wedding fever for a few years…bit older now so don’t get as many opportunities to don the kilt.
