A self-referencing NDA.

Evil.

I was about to say, but being on a PS3 limits speed somewhat.

Edit: SEE! Istarted before SG's post. Stupid onscreen keyboard.

Can't you plug in a keyboard? ;)

Oh, and also: oooh, shiny, though makes no difference to me. Spread the Darwinia love to all those crazy console players, can't be a bad thing.

I had to sign up just to say,

1 down 32 to go.

Defcon and Uplink I mean.

Uplink could work on the controller with the chatpad, and it would be an excellent way fr Microsoft to market the damn thing.

I think there can be no doubt that Uplink (and Defcon for that matter) would work heaps better on a Nintendo DS, or perhaps some other touch-capable device.

Sorry to say this, but I think a joypad-controlled Uplink would stink. Same goes for Defcon, but I could see that being executed somewhat better than Uplink.
Still, for Defcon I'd want something like the Wii Remote or similar (and a projector - to have an entire wall in a basement set up to take input from a laser pen/wii remote).

As for Darwinia+, well - to be honest, I'm somewhat skeptical (aren't I too often?) of the whole RTS-with-a-joypad thing. Maybe it's just me being used to mouse micromanagement, though, as I haven't actually played any RTS with a joypad since Red Alert for the PSX.

Talking of touch-capable devices, I wonder what kind of power the iphone has. I'm not sure anyone's mentioned it before, but now the SDK has come out, it's a possibility! :o

I bet Uplink could be squeezed onto it. I have my doubts about Defcon, though, but you never know ;)

(note that I have no idea of the iphone's power, so feel free to shoot me down if it is way underpowered!)

Nice one IV, I remember seeing it on that picture last year from some MS expo or some such and a lot of us going "Hmmmmm".

More monies for Introversion!

I tried playing Darwinia long ago using Joy2Key (this was before the patch that enabled controller support) but I wasn't diggin' it. Not even enough to try it with the patch...

But still, if I had an Xbox360 I would be all over this. I hope this brings you guys some more success. You deserve it.

Will PC Multiwinia players have to pay a subscription for half the multiplayer 'features'... yes or no? I would humbly point out that that particular business model has already completely f****d up two high-profile RTS releases.
