Darwinia Highly Commended at Gameshadow Awards

Postby vic » Mon Feb 05, 2007 12:02 pm

Great to hear that despite being nearly two years on from its initial release, Darwinia is still picking up praise. The latest commendations come from the Gameshadow Innovation in Games Festival, in which Darwinia was highly recommended in the Best Games and Innovative Visual Effects Categories. The Gameshadow awards pride themselves on celebrating those titles that really push the boundaries of creativity and innovation, regardless of their size, budget or commerical success, and we're very happy to see that Darwinia has been singled out as noteworthy in the process.

You can find full details of Darwinia's successes here: http://www.gameshadow.com/awards/games/darwinia.asp?category=1

How many professional games still win awards two years after release? how many professional games are almost forgotten two years after release?

Are you imply Darwinia is not a "professional" game? ;)

Just kidding! And yay for the praise!

i really dont see how locoroco could beat darwinia...i would never buy loco roco, and darwinia is one of the few games that i pirated, then freaked out at how much i liked it, then bought it (albeit through steam with uplink)

If you want to be pedantic, professional merely means doing it for money (i.e. as a 'profession'... geddit?).

Anyway, huzzah for Darwinia.

Heh. Presumably there's no Godwin's law equivalent for sexual innuendo because it's practically inevitable.
