Darwinia nominated in GameShadow Awards

Postby vic » Mon Nov 06, 2006 5:50 pm

Darwinia is up for 2 awards in this year's Gameshadow Innovation in Games Awards.

This is a new set of awards that aim to highlight and reward those games that really push the boundaries to produce innovative gameplay.

Great to hear that Darwinia has been nominated for 'Best Game' Award and is also currently running at number 9 in the ATI CrossFire People's Choice Award so, many thanks to those who've already been supporting and voting for us :D

Fancy voting for Darwinia yourself? Go to http://www.gameshadow.com/awards/feedback.asp and have the chance to win a Ultimate ATI CrossFire Gaming Kit, not to mention our appreciation, in the process.

Vic

They've extended the voting period until the 15h Dec. Darwinia is currently 7th!

Ah the advantage of multiple email addresses...and owning your own mail server. I put in 10 votes from different addresses. Any more then that is a bit silly.

I actually was looking for F.E.A.R. Although that one wasn't in there, the Rooster Teeth Machinima (P.A.N.I.C.S.) was in there. But you can of course only vote for one thing, and Darwinia got my vote.

I'll probably waste my weekend setting up way too many e-mail adresses on my server and voting for Darwinia with all of them.

Jelco

EDIT: I just noticed Darwinia is up at #6 at the moment. Way to go, IV community!

It was tough, I nearly chose Warning Forever.

Ooh, that's a good plan, I always forget I can do that... but on the other hand, being sent the same piece of spam by them to 10 different addresses would also not be so good :P

Hmm, this is when GMail's tagging feature comes in handy.

For those who don't know, GMail just ignores anything between the + and the @, allowing you to tag your emails.

Not that I would ever break the rules for the vote.... Much....

I also had trouble - I was considering voting for (The Excellent Game) Psychonauts, but seeing as that wasn't in the top ten, there seemed no reason not to vote for Darwinia.

I really liked Psychonauts, but the load times on the PS2 were rediculous. They really spoiled what was otherwise a great game. :(
