I believe that this is, officially, an alpha test -- at least for the time being. If Defcon is tested in the same way that Darwinia was, more people will be added to the test as time passes, likely in groups of 100. Also, I think that we can expect Mac and Linux tests to begin at some point, possibly after this current round of network hacking is complete.
