As per the link to the other topic, 3 pm PST -- one hour and fifteen minutes after this post. As I ask the kids in my classroom, "Can you hold it for just a little longer, or is it an emergency?"

Brand New Steam User Just Arrived!!
Well I almost feel like I just landed in a new world! I saw a little of the reviews about Darwinia and I admit my glance saw the graphics and moved on (shallow beast that I am). It was later that the demo was ported straight to my desk top by 'Steam' (I have never had any probs). As the Demo was so small I wacked it up (3 min to download). After I finished the Demo I immediatley pre-ordered on Steam and downloaded today the whole game!
The concept is fantastic, the revolution of retro!! I wish this could happen in the movie industry!
If not for steam I would have passed on this game, there are so many demos out there and very little time to check them all out. Very happy I got the Heads up and for 10 Quid this is the best value game I have got since Lemmings on the Amiga!

As of version 1.3, in the "Bootloaders" option on the "Other options" menu, you can select "Show First Time Intro" to see it on your next startup. In normal usage, you won't see it again though.
Don't think about The Game.
Congrats on hooking up with Valve and getting on Steam. In my oppinion I find Steam a joy to use and buy many games through it and because of it. Great game I would never have heard of if it wasn,t for Steam and Gabe. Valve is the benchmark for me and if they think it's good it is and they haven,t steered me wrong yet.
Someone said earlier why someone with the boed copy might want their copy authorised on steam...
Because then we get the online as well as automatic updates
Oh yeah, and steam aint so bad anymore, it was totally messed up originally but its fine now, i would love it if steam was made a universal games downloader

I just bought the game through steam yesterday! And I can tell you, if it wasn't for steam, I wouldn't even know the game I now love more than any other game I own!
Steam came up with a demo a few weeks ago which turned up in my "My games" section. I thought, why not, downloaded the demo, played it, loved it and eventually bought it yesterday! So you at least have 1 buyer who probably would have never even heard about the game if it wasn't for steam!
Ofcourse my compliments go out to Introversion for making one of the few games that I really love to play!
