Defcon Website launched

Postby Chris » Tue Aug 22, 2006 5:53 pm

We've finished work on our brand new Defcon website and we're absolutely delighted with it - it's our best looking website yet. Have a look for yourselves:

http://www.everybody-dies.com

As usual this is the first launch of the website, and much more content will be added as time goes by. We like to start with a solid framework and add stuff as we go along. The Darwinia website started out with just 3 pages, and look at it now! We're hoping to do exactly the same with the Defcon website.

The website was designed by Morten Pedersen - the same guy we have doing the fantastic packaging artwork and manual for the dvd release of Defcon. We hired Morten to do the design work for us after we saw his incredible Defcon Posters in the forums - we knew straight away we wanted his talents on board. Introversion has been taking on quite a few new staff members recently and many of them have come from the Forums - including (of course) Icepick who is co-author of Defcon.

Check out Morten's graphic design site here.

The site looks great! Morten Pedersen did a fantastic job. I'm glad IV has recruited such a talented designer. The more professional look should help out with bringing in sales from a more diverse/mainstream crowd. :)

I'm really glad you guys like it. It has definitely been interesting working with the IV guys (and the lovely Vicky) and I've learned a lot from it.

But again thanks for the comments, it means a lot... so... guess I better get back to work now :D

1) The site looks really nice. I love it.
2) DVD? 0_o I though this was going to be under 50 MB... what do you need DVDs for? What is wrong with CDs?
3) [mac_whoring]So, when will the Mac version be done?[/mac_whoring]

I assumed that meant the DVD-format case (as opposed to a jewel case). I can't imagine what IV would need a DVD for. You could probably fit all the stuff they've every released on a CD and have room to spare.

Ah. That makes more sense.

Does anyone else have problems with Opera displaying the site? It just totally messes up....
But yeah, good job! The menu is kinda slow, but I like the design!
