Does anyone have a problem playing the gameplay video or the trailer? I've never seen WMP (and MPC, apparently) actually -crash to desktop- before without error messages. (Yes, I have xVid.)
Both videos play for a quarter second before crashing either player to desktop without errors.
EDIT: Ok, I redownloaded xVid, didn't help. I redowloaded Divx, and now I get audio (with popping every half second or so), but an odd green corrupted image for video. MPC crashes when I close it after trying to play these files, WMP just says "This pin cannot use the supplied media type" with two buttons (Close and Web Help). Web Help directs me to an unhelpful MS webpage.
EDIT2: Ok, after some investigation, I ended up having to disable both DivX and ffdshow for XivD movies, plus remove lgvid.ax from my System Shock 2 directory to play XivD. Meh, probably would have had to disable the DivX and ffdshow stuff eventually, but the lgvid.ax thing throws me for a loop.
WMP still tries to download a better codec, but it doesn't succeed. Still plays though.

My favorite bit is the roadmap with it's predictions of when things will happen, complete with confidence ratings.

For anybody having trouble with the videos, we've replaced the original xVid videos with wmv. The primary reason was that 50% of Introversions TOTAL bandwidth went to the gameplay.avi video last night (because of a link on SteamPowered.com), which comes to about 10Gb in 12 hours. So we had to do something about that. The new videos are lower quality wmv, however they do stream from the website, and they won't cost us our total operating budget whenever a big site links.

What he said.
Kinda late for it now though.
indeed, and I liked the uplink trailer on steam BTW.
