Depends on what one means by 'minor'. Plus there was non-alcoholic drinks there. I don't think anyone cares about fitting in, as we're all insane/odd/etc

believe me; i would kill to go to a release party for defcon, but tickets cost a fortune that i don't have and unless release is delayed three months beyond the currently expected september itll be during my school year... teh suxorz

to properly define "a fortune" i went to delta's website and found the following figures:

the URL for a flight going to london-gatwick from dulles international(closer than baltimore, and more flights out) leaving on september 11th, 2006 and returning on september 15th, 2006 (i'm assuming my release date estimate of the 13th is correct, and that i want time to see other parts of london) is:

some really long delta.com booking URL (that NeoThermic has edited to prevent page streching)

basically, 1,989 USD for a 4 days in london plus the defcon release party.

then again, i could probably find it cheaper on airtran or something.

either way, i dont have that much cash on hand, nor the leave days to spare.
i wonder if i could somehow do what so many lone kids do sneak into the US: sneak on with a couple, acting like i was w/ them and get off at the destination as if nothing had happened. or i could promise not to nuke london when defcon was released and see who'd pay then?

and xander hows it possible to be 400 miles from LA and ~200 from coastal california? i havent looked at a map of that part in a while, but im pretty sure its impossible.
