Shelved.
My computer has been out of my possession for well over a month now, and I except it back next Monday.
It was great, those repairers first said they found nothing wrong, then I brough it to the car, it failed, and I brought it back in. 4 weeks later, I find that they had to replace the CPU, the cooling system, and part of the case, because it was touching the motherboard in ways it should not.
I would have fixed it myself, save for the fact that it is a laptop, and my expertise on laptops is fairly limited.
That, and I knew the CPU was having an issue, and one this particular model, it was soldered to the board. Groan.
How they went from "nothing is wrong" to replaceing nearly everything, I really can't imagine...

Those hentaish casings, I knew it was eyeballing at the MB in an odd fashion the MB did not approve...

Xander : have 2machines, end of problem
I have two machines. One is a blue and white G3, the other is a PowerBook G4. However, Wendryn just got a raise, so we may be getting an Intel PowerBook soonish (I refuse to call it a MacBook -- it just sounds so... stupid).
