Is there any way to check if if you are a beta/alpha tester (besides getting the email saying that you are, that could`ve not arrived thanks to some email providers being rather, well, buggy to say the least)?

EDIT:
Never mind, I already found that list...

The group (afaik) still includes people who were removed from the alpha for inactivity.

Assumably when the Mac version is ready for testing.

I'm off on holiday for a week in May. I will be most upset if I get back to find I'd been accepted for the beta, then rejected due to inactivity in my absence.
I'll have to nominate a deputy.

I doubt it. There is a Wikipedia article about it here saying the release date is Q2. They might wait a little while. Q2 ends in six weeks. Can you wait? Just tell the admin that you will be gone.

IV don't do deadlines. Initially, Chris stated that DefCon would be out in the second quarter, which is why the Wikipedia article states as much. This doesn't mean that things won't change. Hell, at one point, they were expecting an April release. Just goes to show, don't take Wikipedia as the gospel truth.

Wikipedia is made up of you and me, i.e. ordinary users (and a big bag of to many power-hungry admins), so the info is rarely directly from the horses mouth, if ever.

So only ever take wiki-entrys for what they say on historic events, never current or future.

In retrospect, maybe I shouldn't have admitted that my gaming computer was a Dual P3 450 with a Geforce 4 MX440. No one else has a system like that, I said; but alas, no beta testership for me.
