1.5 boxed version and Linux

Hi everyone,


I've just bought the french boxed version of Defcon (distributed by Codemasters) and use its license key to unlock my Linux demo.

While browsing the CD, I noticed that the changelog of the boxed version said it was the 1.5 version because of several translations (french, deutsh , italian, etc...).

Is it possible to copy the game.dat and sound.dat of the boxed version (which is a windows version) to the installed Linux version ? Thus I would have a working french Linux version

I don't think 1.4x binaries would provide the new 1.5 features (even with 1.5 .dat files).
