Buy Now - FIXED

Postby Thunor » Sat May 26, 2007 10:58 pm

Using the demo, if I press Buy Now from the main screen a weird website appears in Firefox

I hope it's a joke but if it isn't let me know.

There's a script called open-www.sh in the defcon lib folder. Possibly it is this script that is being executed when pressing the Buy Now button. It attempts to open one of the many browsers available on Linux.

It opens a tab in my exisiting Firefox window and points to thelabelman!

I'm using Zenwalk 3.0 with Xfce 4 and Firefox 1.5.0.6.

Strange. I get taken to /opt/defcon/defcon-v1.42/lib/[website_buy] in Konqueror. That actual address, which of course doesn't exist. (obviously I've installed defcon in /opt/defcon :) )

Haha, interesting :D

Ok then, I know why it's happening. In Firefox, if you type something in the address bar it'll take you somewhere pre-defined (I imagine by the Firefox developers). It just so happens that entering "website_buy" takes you to http://www.thelabelman.com/website_buy.php

lib/open-www.sh is executed when pressing Buy Now because I just edited the script to something else. The correct URL is not getting passed to the script.
