Unplayable amount of aliasing on Linux, please help :(

I posted emailed Introversion support, and (after a week of waiting with no response), I posted this on the Steam forum, and now it's been yet another week with zero response! That's two weeks of an entirely nonexistent attempt at support or outreach. I just want to play the game I bought without terrible graphical problems, and I haven't even heard a single word from any dev/support people. This is getting really frustrating
Well, first of all, here are some screenshots of the issue:
So as you can see, there is some very extreme-level aliasing going on here. These screenshots were taken with both "Smooth Lines" and "Use Anti-Aliasing" enabled, but neither option seems to make any difference. I bought the game several weeks ago, and it's pretty much unplayable due to this issue. Borders pop in and out of existence, and all ingame lines are very unpleasant to look at (especially the borders).
I am on a 32-bit linux with an Intel graphics card. I'll post Steam's diagnostics of my computer after this post.
The game runs properly otherwise, from what I've seen. Frame rate is smooth, but the aliasing makes it very straining on the eyes to play (it looks much worse in motion than in screenshots, I promise you). I'd appreciate being able to enjoy this game with smooth lines, as I didn't have a huge amount of money to spend on games, and I bought this game based on the recommended system specs, not knowing that it'd be almost painful to look at due to harsh aliasing. If someone could PLEASE help me deal with this issue, I would be very grateful.
Thanks for reading, specs will be in the post after this one.
