It's hilarious how the nukes, which could change the result are still up in the air. So it's a close game. So it has probably been tense and entertaining.
I don't know why or who exactly made the mod. But the fine grained grid addresses make it perfect to pass informations from a knowing observer to a player. Makes most sense if the observer tells the player silo positions to nuke, and to a lesser extend to tell sub positions.
Really, cant think of any other use when those G-17-5 addresses would be practical.
Lol I've had skirmishes with you? I've never thought that you had it out for me at all? I just like being a devils advocate.
But you are right. I knew he ha subs up there but a lack of units to stop them. So it was tense.
As far as the fine grids, what I have used it for is say I just killed subs at a point, I can say killed a sub at H7-2.

I made the mod. Hence why it is callde Roflmod.
And yes you can use it to communicate positions with precision. How a user chooses to employ it is up to them.
I've never used it to cheat, but after your analysis I agree that it might be useful for that. Thank you for your suggestion!

I always thought the grid markings were for 2v2.
There was a spec who connected just as the players started and was silent most times though i tried to engage him in a chat.
But he could have been cows ghost or my ghost (i'm so noob i need one in spec).
I will make a mod too it will be called DoctorMod. It will have nothing useful but from time to time, type noob in relief in chat.

It isn't Bert's ringmod. It is an independently produced ringmod from TGR. Looks far nicer.
