Nuke School-Audience Participation

Instructors: CZA & Cumiro

Today's class began with an interesting statement from Blackout:
Image

Although we could not hear him, we knew from our hurt feelings that an unwarranted doubt was in the air. As a result, Cumiro entered hero mode early in the game.

Still, despite his valor, doubt continued to pervade the peanut gallery. This moment:

Prompted this comment:
Image
Oh, fearful noobs, hear your king! Do not panic, (especially when playing Mrmot).

With our powers combined, we repelled that shit. http://umlaut.wikispaces.com/file/detail/losesilos3.jpg

Meanwhile, Senator and I were engaged in a high-stakes version of Groundhog Day.
Day 1: http://umlaut.wikispaces.com/file/detail/cza.senbomb.jpg
Day 2: http://umlaut.wikispaces.com/file/view/cza.senbomb2.jpg/302930306/cza.senbomb2.jpg
Same result: a couple dead cities, no more "dots" for Mrmot, and a lot of dead bombers at the hands of my fighters.

Oh, speaking of dots, there seemed to be some confusion. Note Blackout's unspeakable hatred here:
Image
Blackout, while it is difficult to convey tone in Defcon, understand I was teasing Mrmot. I did not draw any dots. I thought about blinding his silos, but why bother when there were so many points to snatch? Cumiro and I had a game to win. We left the game-within-a-game of blind nuking, and the loss that comes with it, to Marmot.

At long last, the tide turn and the doubts began to clear up.
Image
And yes, of course we knew the plan. So much so, we didn't even discuss it. My subs were in no danger, and I didn't want to take any targets from Cumiro, so I just kept them waiting. But I knew at start of game they would not be going to Asia, nor would they need to.

For some reason, while the doubts vanished, confusion then set in:
Image

This seems rather unfair. Mrmot may be better. I prefer to think of us as different kinds of players. I wish to win. And while I sometimes dabble in art, Marmot is much more motivated by artistic flourish. Hence his foolish quest in this game. More signs of confusion. Despite this declaration, this hatred spilled forth:

But however you regard Mot/CZA ranking. Here, I had the last laugh:
Image
And yes, I laughed as I always do. Sub noms never get old.

Finally, some of you have wondered if I ever find anything worthy of praise. I find plenty, and as evidence, I offer this at end of the game, since he left too quickly.

CZA&Cumiro win, 313-208.

Final assessment, by Nuki.

WOW, it must be that this game was very important to win considering this comprehensive debriefing.
In any case i am satisfied how defended against double attack. It was logical that it would be difficult to enter the North Atlantic whereas senator had greatly lengthen his line of supply carrier and you have defended at home.
But we are not complaining. We're glad that you take a special pride in this win but I do not think this is enough to give the lectures. Only a matter of luck. Enjoy it until the next time. Show will go on.

Interesting way to debrief.

But this is probably too much of subjective story telling. If I remember correctly you killed 1 bomber with your picture story, while I didnt even attempted to dodge it.

You need to watch recording if you do not remember. We had three moments. The first, you were already turning away, too far for my fighters. So that was a free pass. Then came these two. I think I had a three bomber airnuke on one pass, and a single bomber nuke on the other. But scrambled fighters killed the rest, as stated. And watching recording, I saw that as you approached, Mrmot was whispering things about scouting. Nothing subjective here. You got a few cities. Mrmot was able to mark one silo. A lot of dead bombers.

To the Marmot: yes this was a glorious win; any victory over Senator is a notable occasion! And I was mainly motivated to address the commentary by the spectators; any additional teasing toward you is only because I like you so much.

It is the debriefing room! A good debriefing should have photos.
